Then, proceed to Matamata and the Hobbiton Movie Set, where you can take a guided tour of "Middle Earth," before making your way to Rotorua.

See boiling mud pools and screaming geysers at Te Puia Thermal Reserve. After that, go to the Agrodome to watch a New Zealand agricultural display before continuing on to Rainbow Springs to observe New Zealand's trout, birds, and wildlife. This afternoon is free for you to explore Rotorua's other attractions. Enjoy a genuine Maori Hangi (feast) and concert this evening.

You can spend the morning in Rotorua or the afternoon in Auckland for optional activities (not included in the package). From Rotorua to Auckland, take the ferry.
